BR #31: Real Bitcoin Adoption NOW

Three months ago I got a call from Bulgaria's oldest football club Botev Plovdiv.

Its management had studied Bitcoin and understood Bitcoin can literally change the world.

They wanted to support that change by driving grassroots education about it in my home city of Plovdiv.

This could not be real! 🤯

Honestly, it sounded too good to be true.

The more I thought about it the more I fell in love with the project.

I absolutely love what I do with this newsletter, my masterclass, and some live Bitcoin workshops.

Yet, there was something particularly captivating about working on real-life transformation of a club, its players, fans, and community!

It was an opportunity I could not refuse : )

In early September I started working full-time:

• Building a new club website in Bulgarian and English;
• Understanding Bulgaria's accounting rules so we start accepting BTC payments;
• Understanding the peculiarities and interests of all club stakeholders;
• Educating the club's administration about Bitcoin;
• And so much more...

At times it felt like all odds were against us.

At other times, things clicked magically easily.

I focussed my time on getting sh*t done with the ultimate vision of accelerated grassroots Bitcoin adoption in my home city and country.

This week we finally made our public move:

And this is just the beginning!

I could not be more excited about the coming weeks and months!

What excites me so much is the critical amount of energy, people, real action, and merchant adoption happening on the ground across Bulgaria.

The future can be very bright!
